NEWTOWN SQ., DELAWARE COUNTY (YC) – A decomposing body was located in a Newtown Sq. home Tuesday.

Just after 4:00 p.m. Newtown Sq. Police responded to a home at the 200 block of Overbrook Drive for a well-being check on a pair of brothers who live together.

When police arrived to the residence they made entry and found one of the brothers dead with the other one in the home.

Police requested Newtown Sq. Fire Dept. & the Delaware County Medical Examiner.

Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division was also requested to the location when police deemed it a crime scene.

The brother was transported to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Crisis Center.

Neighbors took to twitter predicting foul play was involved. “My sister face timed me & said there was a murder…,” Paddy C wrote.

Newtown Sq. Police have not released information on if he will be charged.

We reached out to the Delaware County District Attorneys Office for additional information.

This is a developing story.
