Chester City man fatally struck after walking onto I-95 on-ramp

CHESTER CITY, Pa. — A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking on the on-ramp to I-95 in Delaware County overnight.

The incident occurred on the ramp to southbound 95 from Highland Avenue in Chester around 3 a.m. Saturday.

State Police are searching for a 2013-2016 Volkswagen with heavy front end damage and including damage to a tinted window and missing chrome trim.

So far, no word on any charges or why that victim was walking on the ramp.
