UPDATE – 7:10P: The situation appears to be under control at this time. No further information is immediately available.

Several police agencies are responding to assist City of Chester Police Officers at the scene of a possible burglary, yc.news has learned.

Police responded to the 700 block of Hinkson Street just before 7 p.m. Monday for reports of a building panic alarm. Upon arrival, officers noticed activity inside the building — within minutes, they notified dispatchers that they had ‘multiple subjects at gunpoint’ and asked for immediate backup.

No word on any arrests — but none of the suspects or officers were injured.

This is a developing story.
