Philadelphia Police announced the arrest of one of their own officers Friday, charging him with domestic assault stemming from an internal affairs investigation, Your Content has exclusively learned.
Police tell Your Content Officer Jesse Alvarez was arrested by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division Thursday. The 29-year-old officer is a 4-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department and his most recent assignment was the 35th District, police say.
The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office has charged Officer Alvarez with two counts of Simple Assault, misdemeanors of the second degree.
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw has suspended Jesse Alvarez for 30 days with the intent to dismiss at the end of the 30 days.
