A global pandemic of the novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of at least 14,830 people in the United States.

The U.S. is among the worst affected countries, with more than 432,000 people diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the new respiratory virus, according to datacompiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
