Weather Advisory: ‘Deadly Lightning’ and Severe Storms

The National Weather Service issued an advisory Thursday for Philadelphia, Chester and Delaware Counties, noting storms may produce winds in excess of 60 MPH and deadly lightning.

Fire crews are responding to multiple areas throughout Delaware County for wires and trees down.

There are reports of trees that have fallen into houses. There are no reported injuries.

UPDATE – 1:28 p.m.: The advisory now includes Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties.
