An amazing dog has been taught to collect her owner’s Chick-fil-A from the restaurant and bring it back to the car, Your Content has learned.

Ellie the golden retriever was filmed last week bounding over to collect a bag of fried chicken for her owner, Nick, in the parking lot of the fast-food chain in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

A server at the restaurant is seen wearing a mask and handing over the meal for a curbside delivery – brought in to help business run smoother with social distancing amid the pandemic.

Ellie takes the handle of the paper bag in her mouth and pads back over to her owner who gratefully receives his order beside his car.

The restaurant’s Facebook post said: ‘Using our mobile app for curbside delivery has never been more fun or easy. Just ask Ellie. She loves running to meet the Team Member delivering her food and carrying it back to her owner, Nick, who waits in their curbside space. “It’s Ellie’s favorite thing to do,” said Nick.

‘It’s our favorite thing to do to serve yummy food to happy Guests – four-legged Guests included! Place your mobile curbside order today and make your favorite part of the day getting your Chick-fil-A just like Ellie!’

The post has been shared more than 26,000 times and has attracted more than 10,000 comments.

Patti Brown wrote: ‘I love that! My dog would eat it before returning to me!!’

And Susan McSwiney said: ‘My dogs would happily pick up the order… then eat it before returning to the car.’
