Ukraine has issued a dire warning, stating that Chernobyl is on the brink of a radiation leak that could occur within the next 48 hours. Urgent repairs are desperately needed, leading Ukraine to call for a ceasefire to allow for crucial restoration efforts, Your Content has learned.

Energoatom, the state-run nuclear company, has declared its inability to cool the spent nuclear fuel stored in metal containers within a vast water pool. The absence of electricity has rendered it impossible to maintain the required temperatures for the water. Furthermore, electricity is vital for operating ventilators and monitoring radiation levels.

Regrettably, efforts to restore the power supply have been thwarted due to Russian control of the plant. Russia assumed control of the inactive nuclear facility on the initial day of the invasion, exacerbating the challenges faced in addressing the pressing situation, according to CBS News.
