The Russian Defense Ministry has admitted to utilizing a highly destructive thermobaric bomb in Ukraine, confirming previous reports of its deployment, Your Content has learned.

This revelation comes as Vladimir Putin expresses growing frustration with the slow pace of the invasion and the fierce resistance from Ukrainian forces.

Confirmation of Russia’s use of a thermobaric bomb was reported by both Britain’s Ministry of Defense and Ukrainian newspaper Ukrayinska Pravda.

The weapon, which originates from the Soviet era, launches rockets from a tank body, creating a vacuum that draws in surrounding oxygen.

This process leads to significantly increased temperatures and extreme explosions.

While these weapons are not deemed illegal, they are subject to rules of engagement that prohibit their use against military targets if there is a risk of harm to civilians.

Russian artilleryman Sergeant Sergei Gubarev revealed on Russian state TV that he employed the thermobaric bomb in the Chernihiv region on March 4. Chernihiv, situated 80 miles north of Kyiv, continues to face intense bombardment.

The day prior to the deployment of the thermobaric bomb, a tragic incident occurred, resulting in the death of 47 individuals who were queuing for bread, according to The Daily Advent.
