A devastating accident occurred in an Oklahoma town when a semitrailer collided with a sedan, resulting in the instantaneous death of six teenage girls, Your Content has learned.

The intersection where the incident took place had been previously flagged as “dangerous” by local residents.

The collision happened on Tuesday as the girls’ vehicle was making a left turn onto U.S. 377.

The driver of the semi-truck, Valendon Burton, 51, was involved in the tragic incident.

The girls’ car, a 2015 Chevy Spark, collided with the semitrailer around 12:19 pm near Tishomingo.

Tragically, none of the six girls survived the crash.

The driver of the Chevy Spark, aged 16, and the front-seat passenger were the only occupants wearing seatbelts.

Tishomingo Schools confirmed that all the victims were students, leading to a profound loss within the district.

Superintendent Bobby Waitman expressed the heartbreak felt by the school community and extended counseling services to grieving students affected by the tragedy.

Notably, Blake Shelton, a renowned musician from the same Oklahoma town, paid tribute to the young lives lost in this devastating accident.

The entire community joins in mourning the loss of these six promising individuals, and their memories will forever be cherished, according to ABC8.
