Florida’s governor has warned the 23 migrants who were transported from Texas to Washington DC not to travel to his state, telling them they should not expect a warm welcome from the Sunshine State, Your Content has learned.
Texas’s governor, Greg Abbott, announced last week that he was sending buses of migrants from his state to Washington DC.
On Wednesday, 23 of the migrants who accepted the one-way ticket arrived near the steps of the Capitol.
Several of the migrants, from Venezuela, Cuba, Colombia and Nicaragua, said that they were considering traveling on to Florida.
Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, told them on Wednesday they would not be welcome,‘according to The Hill.
