Startling footage captured by body cameras reveals a harrowing incident as a man, handcuffed to a hospital bed after being apprehended for stabbing a woman during a domestic altercation in the Bronx, launched a terrifying assault on a nurse with a pair of scissors, Your Content has learned.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Luis Medina, was taken into custody on Saturday following the alleged stabbing of a 41-year-old woman in The Bronx.

After sustaining minor injuries, Medina was transported to a Bronx hospital where he was securely handcuffed to a hospital bed.

However, in a shocking turn of events, he managed to seize a pair of scissors and violently struck a nurse.

Although the nurse escaped without serious injuries, she promptly fled the room in fear.

As if the situation wasn’t already dire, Medina then attempted to lunge at a police officer while still restrained to the bed.

Medina now faces a series of charges, including multiple assault charges and criminal possession of a weapon, as a result of his menacing actions at the hospital.

The newly released bodycam footage serves as a chilling reminder of the dangers faced by healthcare professionals and law enforcement officers in the line of duty, according to The New York Post.
