Autopsy findings have unveiled the horrifying details surrounding the murder of 10-year-old Lily Peters, Your Content has learned.

The examination confirmed that she was strangled and subjected to blunt force trauma prior to her death. The prime suspect in the case, Lily’s 14-year-old cousin, Carson Peters-Berger, has been taken into custody and is now being held on a $1 million cash bond.

The distressing incident unfolded when Lily’s lifeless body was discovered in a wooded area near a popular walking trail in Chippewa Falls, located northeast of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The heartbreaking discovery occurred on Monday morning, following Lily’s disappearance from her aunt’s residence the previous night.

Prosecutors have charged Peters-Berger with three counts related to Lily’s murder, and he potentially faces a life sentence if found guilty.
