The ongoing defamation trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard has entered its fourth week, with shocking revelations emerging from the courtroom, Your Content has learned.
Depp’s security guard, Travis McGivern, took the stand as the first witness, providing a harrowing account of an explosive altercation that unfolded at the couple’s Los Angeles penthouse.
McGivern testified that he was compelled to intervene as the couple’s arguments escalated into a physical confrontation.
While he attempted not to eavesdrop on their quarrels, he often overheard a barrage of insults and profanity directed at Depp by Heard.
McGivern stated, “I’ve heard Ms. Heard call him a ‘f**king deadbeat dad’ – if I can say that. I apologize to the court.
‘F**king washed up…a f**king c**t You name it, she spewed it.'”
In addition to the verbal abuse, the security guard recounted an incident in which Heard allegedly struck Depp forcefully on the left side of his face with a closed fist.
This occurred when McGivern was attempting to remove the actor from their penthouse during one of their fights.
Meanwhile, Heard reportedly dismissed her PR team ahead of her upcoming testimony, allegedly due to growing frustration with the negative media attention surrounding the trial.
The trial, which commenced on April 11, has featured compelling testimonies from Depp, who claims to have been a victim of domestic abuse, as well as evidence presented by the actor’s agent, driver, bodyguard, and a psychologist.
Depp, 58, is suing his ex-wife for $50 million, asserting that she defamed him and harmed his career through a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post.
Although Heard did not mention Depp by name in her article, she is counter-suing for $100 million.
The trial is set to continue with Heard’s anticipated testimony on Monday, according to The Daily Mail.
