In a devastating turn of events, a young employee of Wendy’s met a fatal end after being shot by a jealous police officer who suspected him of having an affair with his wife, Your Content has learned.

The incident unfolded on Sunday night when Edward Wilkins, 20, crossed paths with off-duty NYPD officer Sean Armstead, 35.

The heart-wrenching episode began when Armstead began tailing his wife, Alexandra Vanderheyden, 35, and the man he believed she was involved with.

Wilkins, who worked for Vanderheyden by walking dogs, found himself caught in the midst of a highly charged confrontation outside a Buffalo Wild Wings on Route 211.

The victim of Armstead’s jealousy has been identified as 20-year-old Edward Wilkins.

Public records indicate that Armstead has served as a police officer for over a decade and earned an annual salary of $105,000.

Authorities from the Town of Wallkill Police have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.

While further details are yet to be released, this tragic event serves as a sobering reminder of the devastating consequences that jealousy and emotional turmoil can bring, according to The New York Post.
