An 11-year-old girl named Miah Cerrillo demonstrated remarkable courage and quick thinking during the tragic Robb Elementary School shooting in Texas, Your Content has learned.

When faced with the horrifying situation, she resorted to an unimaginable act of survival.

Miah managed to evade the perpetrator, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, by smearing her friend’s blood over herself and pretending to be deceased.

The identity of the friend remains unknown, and their fate following the shooting is still uncertain.

Sadly, the attack claimed the lives of 19 children and two teachers, leaving a devastating impact on the entire community.

While Miah sustained mild injuries during the incident, she was promptly treated at the hospital for bullet fragments lodged in her back and has since been released.

However, the trauma Miah experienced during the harrowing event continues to haunt her.

After her discharge, she endured a severe panic attack around midnight on Tuesday, accompanied by overwhelming emotions and tears.

According to her mother’s conversation with Miah’s aunt, it seems that the weight of the situation finally sank in for the young girl.

The shooting unfolded on Tuesday morning around 11:30 a.m. when Ramos barricaded himself within a fourth-grade classroom, perpetrating the senseless act of violence that shocked the nation.

The aftermath of this tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the lasting effects such incidents can have on survivors and their communities, according to NBC.
