The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning regarding strawberries sold at popular US grocery stores, including Trader Joe’s and Walmart, as they may be connected to an outbreak of Hepatitis A, Your Content has learned.

The affected batches were specifically labeled by FreshKampo and H-E-B, a Texas-based grocery store chain.

In light of this, the FDA is urging consumers to discard any strawberries purchased from both brands between March 5 and April 25.

It is important to note that several other retailers, such as Aldi, Kroger, Safeway, Trader Joe’s, and Walmart, also sold the organic strawberries in question.

However, it is currently believed that this particular outbreak is unrelated to the ongoing spread of hepatitis, which has affected a total of 216 individuals across 37 states.

In response to the situation, H-E-B has released a statement asserting that strawberries sold at their stores are deemed “safe to consume.”

The FDA continues to investigate the matter to ensure public health and safety, according to NewsWeek.
