Daniel Issac Marquez, a fifth-grade student at Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral, Florida, has been arrested for allegedly making a written threat to conduct a mass shooting, Your Content has learned.
The arrest comes just days after the tragic incident in Texas, where 19 students and two teachers lost their lives to a gunman.
Authorities expressed concern over the 10-year-old’s behavior, referring to him as a “little delinquent.”
The incident marks the second time within a week that the community has faced threats of violence targeting schools.
