A luxurious penthouse located in downtown Los Angeles, previously owned by Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, is set to be listed for sale at a price of $1.76 million this Friday, as reported by Your Content.

The exquisite residence, boasting one bedroom and two bathrooms, spans an impressive 1,780 square feet and can be found in the Eastern Columbia Building.

This penthouse was originally one of five interconnected units that Depp possessed in the building. However, these units have since undergone modifications and transformed into separate living spaces. In the aftermath of Depp’s separation from Heard in 2016, he sold all five units for a total sum of $12.78 million.

Previously, in 2017, the property was sold for $1.42 million and had been available for rent at a monthly rate of $5,500. However, it is now set to be officially placed on the market for interested buyers.

The decision to sell the penthouse comes shortly after a defamation trial between Depp and Heard, where a Virginia jury awarded Depp over $10.4 million in his libel suit against his ex-wife. Initially, Depp had been granted $15 million in damages, but the judge reduced the amount to $10.4 million in accordance with state law. As reported by the New York Post, Heard was also awarded $2 million by the jury for damages resulting from comments made by one of Depp’s attorneys.
