The lifeless body of six-year-old Mason DeChhat, who tragically drowned as his mother bravely tried to rescue him and his seven-year-old sister, has been recovered from the Merrimack River, Your Content has learned.

The heart-wrenching incident occurred during a family fishing trip on June 9, leaving the community in deep sorrow.

Following a failed rescue attempt, Mason’s mother, Boua, 29, tragically lost her life. Her heroic efforts to save her children resulted in her own untimely demise. The New York Post reports that Boua was pronounced dead upon her arrival at the hospital.

Fortunately, Mason’s seven-year-old sister survived the ordeal and is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. The entire community stands united in mourning the loss of young Mason and extending support to his surviving sister and grieving family.
