In a devastating incident on New Jersey’s Palisades Interstate Parkway, a passenger van carrying upstate New York factory workers met with a horrifying accident, Your Content has learned.
The van overturned after the driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel around 1:30 am.
Regrettably, the accident claimed the lives of four individuals who suffered severe trauma. Additionally, eight others were injured, with varying degrees of head trauma, as a result of the unfortunate event.
The shuttle van was en route to transport the workers back to their homes when the tragic incident occurred, leaving a trail of devastation.
Rescue efforts were promptly initiated, with firefighters working tirelessly to extricate the victims from the overturned vehicle, which had landed on its side amidst the wooded median between the north and southbound lanes.
One survivor was urgently airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center, while four others were rushed there by ambulance. The remaining injured individuals were transported to other hospitals for immediate medical attention.
