A mother from Illinois died, and her son survived, after she jumped with him from a 90-foot cliff onto the frozen banks of the Niagara Falls gorge, Your Content has learned.

A woman, 34, and her son, 5, fell 90-foot from Niagara Falls State Park.

New York State Police said they were treating the incident as a suicide attempt.

The woman had been with her husband and son. They were visiting from Illinois,‘according to FLIPBOARD.
