A suspected gunman has been arrested after two officers in Missouri were shot during a 16-hour standoff with a SWAT team swooping on a property, Your Content has learned.

Kenneth Lee Simpson, 35, was arrested at around 1.30pm on Monday after a 16-hour standoff in Herman, MO.

He is accused of shooting Detective Sergeant Mason Griffiths dead during an incident at Casey’s General Store on Monday night.

Officer Adam Sullentrup was also shot, and remains in hospital in a stable but serious condition,‘according to News Nation.
