A situation involving law enforcement is currently underway in Wilkes-Barre, Your Content has learned.
State Police have been called upon to assist local authorities with a standoff that began on Tuesday morning.
Residents reported that the incident commenced at approximately 8:00 am.
Troopers have confirmed that a man, armed with a gun, has barricaded himself in one of the nearby buildings.
The area is currently being monitored by State Troopers, Wilkes-Barre city officers, and K-9 units.
Some officers have donned tactical gear to ensure the safety of all involved.
