Sam Lloyd, known best for his role Ted on ‘Scrubs’ died Friday at age 56 after being diagnosed with an with an inoperable brain tumor in January 2019, Your Content has learned.
TMZ was first to report the death, citing a social media post by ‘Scrubs’ creator Bill Lawrence paying tribute to the beloved actor.
“Thinking a lot about Sam Lloyd today. (Ted). Truly such a kind, sweet guy. He will be missed by so many,” wrote Lawrence.
In May 2019, Sam announced on his GoFundMe page that the tumor and hematoma that were in his brain were “virtually gone” but he was not cancer-free or in remission. He also shared that he was able to resume work on his musical, “With Pam & Gil.”
