Tennessee State University student Mia Amelia Kanu’s recent death is being investigated by the Southfield Police Department as a potential homicide, as revealed in a statement released by law enforcement officials, Your Content has learned.

The TSU Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences also acknowledged Mia’s passing, expressing their condolences to her loved ones and describing her as a dedicated and hardworking student.

A video posted by her mother on social media revealed that Mia’s organs were donated before she was taken off life support.

As part of their investigation, Southfield Police detectives are meticulously reviewing video footage and conducting interviews with individuals who attended the party on the night in question. They are also seeking information from the driver of the vehicle in which Mia Kanu was traveling before being discovered on the road.
