Connecticut State Police have arrested Fotis Dulos in connection to the murder of missing mom Jennifer Dulos, multiple sources tell yc.news.
Jennifer Dulos, 50, vanished on May 24 after dropping her five children off at school.
State Police released a 35-page arrest warrant Tuesday afternoon that reveals new details concerning a possible motive and why they concluded that Jennifer Dulos is dead.
However, authorities remain stumped as they cannot solve the mystery over where Jennifer Dulos’ remains are.
“We are obviously chastened by the fact that the state thinks there is sufficient evidence for such serious crimes but frankly we are very encouraged of our preliminary review of the warrants,” Pattis continued. “What was exposed is a shocking lack of confidence in its strength of its case.”
Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner James Gill indicated that Jennifer Dulos sustained injuries that wouldn’t have been survivable without medical intervention after being presented with evidence gathered by State Police, according to the warrant. Trauma to Jennifer Dulos likely was a combination of blunt force trauma and sharp force injuries from a stabbing or slashing, Gill said.
On June 1, the case garnered international attention when Fotis & his former mistress-turned-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, 44, were arrested and charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the mother-of-five’s disappearance.
Police allege they found video surveillance that appeared to show the two dumping bags of evidence – including blood drenched sponges, clothing, and other material – at over 30 locations in a four-mile radius.
Michelle posted bond and was subsequently released from custody the same day. Fotis posted bond shortly thereafter.
Fotis Dulos & Michelle Troconis were re-arrested Tuesday morning for charges pertaining to the murder of Jennifer Dulos. 52-year-old Kent Mawhinney, a Connecticut based attorney, was also arrested and charged in connection to the murder of the mother-of-five.
