Reward Raised to $15,000 in Hit-and-Run Death of Officer’s Daughter

The bounty for clues that result in the apprehension of the individual behind the deadly hit-and-run of Ashley McLean has been raised to $15,000, Your Content has learned.

Ashley, the daughter of Officer Leslie McLean, lost her life in the incident, which took place on the early morning of August 25, 2023, at the crossroads of 84th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard in Philadelphia.

Initially, a $5,000 reward was on offer for information leading to an arrest. However, due to additional financial contributions, the reward sum has been elevated.

The initial $5,000 was put forth by Lodge 27 of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Christopher Eiserman, the President of Lodge 27, revealed that the reward amount was supplemented by an anonymous benefactor and FOP Lodge President John McNesby, each donating an extra $5,000.

Christopher Eiserman, Lodge 27 FOP’s President, expressed, “We’re deeply grateful for the community’s overwhelming support for Officer McLean and her family. We remain committed to seeking justice for Ashley.” He added, “Ashley is survived by two young kids, and the family is working diligently to find closure and start the healing journey.

Ashley McLean was fatally hit by an unidentified vehicle at the 84th and Lindbergh intersection. The vehicle involved did not stop and is still at large. Law enforcement is calling on anyone with pertinent information to step forward.

The augmented reward sum underscores the community’s determination to resolve this heartbreaking case and deliver justice to the McLean family. The perpetrator is still at large, and the case remains under active investigation.
